Operations Manager [Christy Catalytics]

We have the flexibility to work remotely 1 day a week, however most of this position will be in the office during typical business hours.

ABOUT US

We are growing our team and adding an Operations Manager to lead and develop our Warehouse and Operations Specialists. Our company is a fast-growing multi-national company. We are looking for someone who is detailed oriented while having a ‘get it done now’ attitude, developing and following processes and problem-solving where the answer is not necessarily apparent. Experience with ERP software, logistics, and supply chain is necessary. High bonus potential based on results. Key deliverables are listed below:

  • KPI goals such as on-time shipments, customer inquiries, A/R, inventory variances, etc.
  • Maintaining warehouse stock levels that match our business needs.
  • Develop skills of the Operations & Warehouse staff
  • Timely responses to the needs of our internal customers

POSITION DETAILS

Manager of Operations

  • Accountability for the performance of the Department.
  • Accountability for the performance of our domestic and international Distribution Warehouses.
  • Develop processes that eliminate waste.
  • Work with our Accounting Department to resolve issues.
  • Help Operations Specialists solve problems.

Customer Order Fulfillment:

  • Establish new customer records in our database, including credit reviews.
  • Enter orders into unique order processing software.
  • Approve payment invoices from product vendors.
  • Arrange with Accounts Payable for appropriate pre-payments on purchase orders, if required by the vendor.
  • Issue customer order acknowledgments.
  • Make sure the order is delivered on time.
  • Issue invoices upon shipment.
  • Assist in collections for past-due invoices.
  • Issue product return authorizations and subsequent credit memos.

Logistics:

  • Completely manage and execute complex customer orders.
  • Arrange shipment of goods with an identified set of carriers.
  • Approve payment invoices from carriers, brokers, and forwarders.
  • Understand the complexities of international shipping INCOTERMS
  • Issue Certificates of Origin, Certificates of Analysis, or Canadian Customs invoices if required.

End of Month Responsibilities:

  • Track the repacking of products and update inventory statements accordingly.
  • Track and approve vendor invoices.
  • Reconcile inventory records.
  • Prepare month-end inventory reconciliations for off-site warehouses.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Previous employee management required.
  • ERP based purchasing, order processing, MRP, and CRM software (Salesforce).
  • Bachelor’s Degree, Professional Certificate, or equivalent experience required.
  • Must be an accomplished writer in English. Additional language skills (Spanish, Mandarin, etc.) a plus
  • Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience in order fulfillment preferred.
  • Experience and understanding of shipping and logistics procedures (3PL).
