Jim Talley

“I believe Christy is unique in the way that its employees truly believe in its culture. Christy offers employees the ability to grow and succeed in their professional lives. Our word is our bond, and we strive to make a positive impact on society.”

Mr. Talley’s early career was as a partner in his family’s automotive repair shops where he focused his efforts on both customer satisfaction and meeting their needs. Later, he moved into manufacturing, gaining experience in leadership roles.  Mr. Talley worked as team leader, department supervisor and shift supervisor in the cultured marble industry, where his leadership responsibilities increased along with his ability to manage production.

In 2004, Mr. Talley moved from manufacturing to minerals processing by joining Christy Minerals in High Hill, Missouri at our facility that produces Missouri Fire Clay that is sold throughout the Americas. While at Christy, he has seen ever-increasing roles in leadership as evidenced in his positions as Kiln Manager and Plant Manager. In 2021, after five years as Plant Manager, he moved into the role of Vice President of Operations for Christy Minerals and simultaneously accepted a corporate position as Vice President of Christy Industrial Holdings. In this role, he works closely with plant managers at different Christy locations to identify strengths and weaknesses through process improvement, workplace skills and culture.
