Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm with On-Call Rotation Every 3rd Weekend
If you are interested in working with your hands and troubleshooting machinery, this is the role for you. Christy Catalytics in Crooksville, Ohio is looking for a Maintenance Technician to help keep our facility running safely and smoothly. Typical tasks include preventive facility maintenance, facility and production equipment repair, and equipment maintenance. You’ll use power tools, and hand tools and drive a forklift to complete tasks onsite.
*Before formal hire, you will be required to complete the following examinations and screens, which will be performed at the Company’s expense:
- Criminal background check
- Drug screen
POSITION DETAILS
- Safely perform all duties in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and company policy while utilizing the proper PPE
- Decrease equipment downtime through high level troubleshooting
- Perform all preventive maintenance duties to equipment and know/ensure proper use of fabrication equipment (welding, cutting, drilling)
- Maintain a safe clean work area, complete required paperwork
- Conduct themselves in a professional manner
- Willing to learn to use voltage test equipment, be familiar with reading blueprints and can troubleshoot equipment and make repairs as needed
- Ability to fill in for other shifts, potentially nights or weekends as necessary
- Ability and willingness to be cross trained in other job functions
- Other duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- High school diploma or GED and 2 years of industrial experience- preferred
- Experience working with electrical, hydraulics, motor controls, PLC-controllers and mechanical abilities
- Familiarity with PM programs-implementation – preferred
- Ability to be certified on operation of powered industrial trucks (forklifts)
- Ability to communicate fluently to convey, exchange, and understand questions, ideas and instructions in both verbal and written form in English
- Possess good math skills including four basic arithmetic functions and common units of measurement
- Lifting, carrying, pushing or moving of 50 pounds minimum
- Ability to detect safety hazards and equipment malfunctions, and respond accordingly
- Above average welding and mechanical skills – preferred
- Ability to multi-task and follow instructions
- Great organizational skills
Physical Requirements
Prolonged physical exertion, standing for long periods of time, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in awkward and sometimes tight positions and in all weather conditions.
